Operated by students and volunteer of Jambo Minda Foundation.
Mobile library program aims to give an opportunity to students in rural areas that have no fixed library nearby them. Many people assume that a number of schools in our region have a good mini library. However, in fact, many schools have not provided the fixed library yet. Therefore, the students get problems to improve their knowledge through reading the books.
In 2006-2008, YJM bought four units mini mobile libraries (mini triaxle jidoushoukan) that were funded by OGFICE and LNG Japan Corporation. The mobile libraries have been operating to serve the target school students around Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar.
Since 2007 YJM has started the mobile library program by recruiting the university volunteer students to operate the mobile library. The school students have been enthusiastic with visiting the mobile library from YJM. It looks from their request to visit their school regularly. During the period of 2011 – 2018 the mobile library has served more than 16 schools around Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar Districts, those covered Syiah Kuala, Kuta Raja, Meuraxa, and Peukan Bada Sub-districts.
